Registration

The research center of the University of French Polynesia.

Attendees are required to register for the seminar no later than 31 Nov 2025.

To register, simply send an email to Ivan Cheltsov and state whether you would like to contribute a talk.

Since there is no registration fee and participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and accommodation, conference officials will never ask anyone to pay for anything by phone, online or even on site.

Travel

French Polynesia is an overseas country of the French Republic located in the South Pacific Ocean and comprising 118 islands. The seminar will be held on Tahiti, the country's main and most populous island.

Tahiti International Airport (IATA airport code: PPT) has regular flight services from the following countries:

France
Paris (Air Tahiti Nui, Air France, French Bee)
Japan
Tokyo (Air Tahiti Nui)
New Caledonia
Nouméa (Aircalin)
New Zealand
Auckland (Air New Zealand, Air Tahiti Nui)
United States
Honolulu (Hawaiian Airlines)
Los Angeles (Air France, Air Tahiti Nui, Delta Airlines)
San Francisco (French Bee, United Airlines)
Seattle (Air Tahiti Nui)

Although public transport services do exist in Tahiti, they are quite limited. To make the most of their time on the island, participants are recommended to rent a car for the duration of their stay.

Accommodation

French Polynesia has two official categories of lodging establishments: international hotels, which are often relatively expensive, and pensions de famille, which are essentially bed and breakfasts.

More lodging options can be found on Airbnb although their quality and location varies greatly.

When booking, consider the driving distance to the seminar location: the University of French Polynesia.
